This paper attempts to answer the above question on the basis of a Marxist-Leninist analysis of French bourgeois political economy as a reflection of the real development of capitalist contradictions in France over the past 25-30 years, caused by the general crisis of capitalism. At the same time, the work critically analyzes the main trends of modern French bourgeois political economy and explores new currents in its methodology and theory. In parallel with the criticism of the theories of bourgeois economists, the work reveals the scientific inconsistency and apologetic nature of the economic views of the French Social Democracy, speaking with "new" versions of anti-Marxist economic theory, thus trying to overturn the labor movement from the path of revolutionary, class struggle. The works of progressive economists of France are also used in the work.
