This collection of articles is a kind of continuation of the "Translator's Notebook" published by the Translation Department of the 1st Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Translation from 1958 to 1962, and aims to reflect the living "creative laboratory" of translation thought, to provide an opportunity to raise and discuss topical issues of everyday translation practice, for methodological and practical advice, critical remarks, discussion statements on various translation issues, and, finally, for translation experiments and proposals on various variants of translation of this or that text. In this connection, the materials published in this collection are in no way intended to be considered complete studies; they are rather notes, sketches on some topical and interesting issues of translation theory and practice.
