International Lecturer's Handbook. – 2nd ed., rev. and suppl.

The half-century-long path traversed by the Soviet state has clearly and forcefully demonstrated to mankind the complete triumph of the ideas of Marxism-Leninism, the ideals of the labor movement, the principles of proletarian internationalism and friendship of peoples. The ideas of the Great October found a living embodiment in the formation of the world socialist system, in the collapse of colonial empires and the transition of previously enslaved peoples and countries to the path of independent, independent development. It is impossible to show in a small edition all the diversity of international life, the development of which is now taking place under the enormous influence of the ideas of communism. Therefore, the team of authors considers it necessary only to briefly outline in the first section of this handbook the most pressing issues of our time: strengthening the positions of the countries of the socialist commonwealth on the world stage, the rise of the communist and labor movement, the powerful scope of the national liberation movement, the struggle of peoples for peace, general and complete disarmament, ensuring European security. The second section includes basic information of a reference nature that can be used by lecturers, agitators and propagandists in their practical work. The section opens with the reference "Soviet Foreign Policy for 50 years", showing the triumph of Lenin's principles of new relations between peoples based on equality, respect for sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states, as well as the steady growth of the USSR's authority on the world stage. In addition, the section provides data on all socialist countries. When selecting other countries by continent, the authors were guided by the following principle: highlighting the largest states, as well as those countries whose events attract special public attention today.
