The book examines the main specialised institution of the American financial oligarchy for influencing US foreign policy - the Carnegie-Morgan, Rockefeller and Ford "charitable" foundations, as well as the organisations financed by them. Three main directions of this influence are considered - development of US foreign policy strategy, ideological justification and imposition of these policies, promotion of "their people" to foreign policy posts. It analyses the practical impact of big business on the policies of the last US administrations, from Truman to Carter.
