The monograph is devoted to the study of the main directions of French foreign policy and its foreign policy concepts under Ch. de Gaulle, J. Pompidou and V. Giscard d'Estaing. New moments in the policy of F. Mitterrand's government are also considered. Special attention is paid to the military-political doctrines of the French leadership in the 60-70s. A significant place is taken by the analysis of France's positions on such cardinal international problems as détente, disarmament, European security. The main milestones in the development of Soviet-French relations as an important factor in European and world politics are shown.
