Bilateral and multilateral tax treaties, of which there are currently more than a thousand, are one of the most common forms of international treaties. The importance and role of such agreements in the regulation of international economic relations have especially increased in recent years, when, due to the growing tax burden in capitalist countries, the problem of double taxation has become more acute, tax evasion has reached unprecedented proportions, and the struggle between countries for the division of tax revenues collected from transnational companies has intensified. All these issues are considered in the monograph, which is the first study on this topic in the Soviet literature.
