The book shows the main directions of US intervention in the affairs of Western European states and the most typical methods of subversive activities of the US intelligence services in Western Europe: instigation of anti-government plots, assassination of political figures undesirable to Washington, fabrication of falsehoods to discredit and weaken leftist forces and democratic movements. The crimes of the CIA and its handmaidens are considered in the context of political relations between the United States and its Western European allies in the post-war period. It is emphasised that the gross interference of the USA in the internal affairs of these states became total.
