This is a book of professional diplomat, who in 1992-1996 was the head of the Russian mediation and Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia for a political settlement of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. It is the first in the domestic literature documentation of detailed coverage of the history of the conflict that grew into a full-scale war, and the story about the mediation of Russia, which led to an agreement about a cease-fire on May 12, 1994.

Appendix to the book contains photographs and the basic documents for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict settlement and history.
