When writing this book, the author's main task was to outline and solve, to a greater or lesser extent, the main issues concerning the structure of collocations in modern Persian and the structure of the simple sentence in connection with the relationship of its main members. The main attention is paid to the description and theoretical interpretation of the structure and semantics of collocations, identification of their types and ways of connecting words in collocations, consideration of the structure of a two-joint sentence and its main members - the subject and the predicate. In this connection, some general theoretical problems are touched upon (about the content and form of collocations, about the peculiarities of connecting words in collocations and sentence members in sentences, the problem of the relationship between the concepts of "sentence member", "collocation" and "syntactic group", about distinguishing bicompound sentences from unicompound sentences, about the ways of expressing predicate, etc.). This work does not cover all the problems of the syntactic structure of the Persian language, which is an extremely difficult task. The volume of the book did not allow to include a number of private issues of syntactic structure of collocations and simple sentences (there are no sections on some types of prepositional collocations, there is no classification of simple sentences according to the purpose of utterance, etc.). The examples given in the paper are taken by the author from the Iranian press and fiction.
