The course systematically lays out the institutes of international law. Its primary role is to be a textbook for students of international law and a support for teachers of that subject. It may also be useful to diplomats, judges and other specialists applying international law, readers interested in international relations and international politics. The course was first published in 2018 by Prospekt. This second edition has been supplemented with contemporary legal practice, doctrinal research and a few new elements including the chapter on international health regulations, and the chapter on international tax law. Moreover, certain theoretical provisions have been reworked. The course is divided into 7 parts and 29 chapters. Each chapter is divided into sections. The author maintains the approach of critical thought, that is to say he endeavours to highlight international legal phenomena in their historical, political and economic context, and also to expand the polemic on different theoretical and practical matters in international law.
