The author, a military historian, during the Great Patriotic War, as a commissar of a partisan detachment, witnessed numerous crimes of Hitler's Wehrmacht, which were planned and directed by Adolf Heusinger, Chief of Operations of the General Staff of the Land Forces. As a result of many years of work in the archives, Soviet specialists, including the author of the book, established the guilt of Heusinger, now occupying an important position in NATO, in the commission of the gravest international crimes. The book contains only a small part of the evidence, but even they irrefutably establish that Heusinger is one of the major German war criminals and is subject, in accordance with international agreements, to extradition to the authorities of the country where he committed the heinous atrocities.
