In 1962, the Publishing House of the Institute of International Relations began the systematic publication of documents on the foreign policy of the Soviet Union and international relations since 1961.
The book "The Foreign policy of the Soviet Union and international relations. Collection of documents. 1962" continues the started publication.This collection includes the main documents on Soviet foreign policy issues published in the press in 1962: messages, letters and statements by the head of the Soviet government to the heads of state and government of other countries, notes and statements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, statements by TASS, proposals submitted by the Soviet government to the UN, communique on negotiations of government delegations of the Soviet Union with government delegations of other countries, treaties and agreements on political issues and other documents.
Taking into account that the main speeches of the head of the Soviet government, N.S. Khrushchev, on issues of international relations and foreign policy of the USSR are published annually by the State Political Publishing House in a separate edition, these materials are not included in this collection.
The collection of documents is intended as a textbook for students and postgraduates of the Institute of International Relations, historical and law faculties of other higher educational institutions. It will be useful to anyone who studies international relations and foreign policy of the Soviet Union.
