This publication is a special textbook on the Russian language for foreign students specializing in international economic relations of socialist countries. It may also be of assistance to persons studying Russian abroad on their own. Thus, the edition is intended for a wide readership. The purpose of the manual is to familiarize students with economic terminology and foreign trade vocabulary, phraseology, the order of composing foreign trade letters and documents in Russian, to impart to them the skills of translating foreign trade documents and trade and economic texts. The methodology of the manual was developed in the process of teaching foreign students. It allows to master economic and foreign trade terminology and master the basic rules and techniques of foreign trade operations in a relatively short time, knowing only the basics of the Russian language.
