About the author

This manual is intended for those improving their knowledge of the German language, mainly translators, teachers, as well as students of foreign language institutes and faculties, the purpose of which is to equip students with the skills of translating texts with socio-political content. The proposed manual does not pretend to fully reflect all specific lexical and grammatical points that cause certain difficulties when translating a German text into Russian. The authors, relying on their many years of experience, have included only those phenomena that are the most typical and the most frequent.
