This textbook is intended for teaching translation of socio-political materials from Russian into French and from French into Russian. Its goal is to develop translation skills and familiarize students with the basic socio-political vocabulary, turns of newspaper speech, and the most important stylistic features of French journalism. The textbook is, first of all, a systematic course of translation, in which the textual material is accompanied by explanations and exercises that contribute to the development of skills necessary to overcome translation difficulties.
