In conflict with reality

The author, using materials unknown to the Soviet reader, examines modern U.S. propaganda techniques against the background of the most widespread imperialist theories and doctrines of anti-communism and anti-Sovietism. The work also examines the mechanism and apparatus of external ideological expansion of the state-monopolistic capital of the United States: the U.S. Information Agency, the radio station Voice of America, the largest newspapers and telegraphic agencies and the extensive propaganda organs of firms and monopolies. Using concrete examples and facts taken from American reality, the book shows how in practice bourgeois propagandists fabricate and disseminate false information all over the world and conceal the truth from the world community in order to protect the discredited principles of capitalist society.
