In the capitalist world, marketing, or market management concept, has become the most widespread form of competitive struggle - a set of measures that combines a thorough analysis of demand, scientific organization of production and sales, and extensive use of advertising. Some organizational forms of marketing are of practical interest and can be used in conditions of planned, socialist economy. Much attention to the problem of improving production management in order to better meet public needs is given in the decisions of the 10th Congress of the CPSU. Research by the authors of the problems of marketing is all the more relevant because these issues are devoted to a special section of the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. This once again emphasizes the importance of adapting production to the requirements of foreign markets for the expansion of international trade.
The monograph reviews extensive foreign as well as Soviet literature on the subject.
