The book examines the profound changes in the capitalist world economy and imperialist diplomacy in the half century since the publication of Lenin's classic work "Imperialism as the Highest Stage of Capitalism". Since then, the political map of the world has changed unrecognizably, social productive forces have grown, the balance of class forces in the international arena has irreversibly changed to the detriment of imperialism. But doomed to imminent doom, imperialism clings to its position with the energy of desperation by all means, including foreign policy and diplomacy. The role of imperialist diplomacy in maintaining the position of imperialism in the world economy under the growing forces of socialism is the subject of the present study.
