This manual is intended for people who have studied French at secondary school for three to four years. The aim is to provide a minimum of the most common words and expressions related to certain everyday and socio-political topics. The manual includes 20 such topics - lessons. Each of them consists of two main parts - text and dialog. The text is composed in the form of a story on a particular topic. Many words and turns of the text are repeated in the dialog. Each text and dialog is accompanied by a detailed vocabulary. This is followed by additional words and expressions for reference and, finally, questions on the topic. In addition, there is a commentary that explains some lexical difficulties and grammatical phenomena that students may have forgotten.
