    The book tells about the life and work of Soviet diplomats in West Germany. The author was one of the first to arrive in the FRG after the establishment of diplomatic relations with it in 1955. He was in the FRG for about five years. The most interesting events of that time, numerous meetings with representatives of the FRG public, rich impressions and observations formed the basis of this book. It shows the life of West Germans from the most diverse strata of society. The book is written simply and clearly. This makes it accessible to the widest range of readers.
