Translation activity takes place in the form of a multitude of acts of translation realized by different translators, in different conditions, in relation to a variety of originals created by different authors, taking into account the orientation of the translation text to a certain type of Receptor. Each real act of translation has an individual character: it has a number of features that cannot be found in other acts of translation. The translation may be performed at different speeds, its result may be pronounced in a loud or quiet voice, written with a pen or typed, written in different handwritings with unequal degrees of legibility, and so on. All these peculiarities of a particular act of translation characterize the individual behavior of a particular translator under given conditions.
