The monograph is devoted to the history of the establishment and development of diplomatic relations between the USSR and the USA. Particular attention is paid to relations between the USSR and the USA in recent decades: the transition from the Cold War to the easing of international tensions in the 1970s and the aggravation of the international situation due to Washington's fault, negative changes in Soviet-American relations, and the efforts of the Soviet Union aimed at normalizing relations with the United States.
