The book was prepared by the research and teaching staff of the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It includes articles on various aspects of Soviet foreign policy and diplomacy, contemporary international relations, memoirs of prominent Soviet diplomats, and a chronicle of major foreign policy and diplomatic activities of the Soviet Union. This issue reflects mainly the events of 1982 and the first half of 1983.
