On 27 May 1985, the trial of the "Antonov case", fabricated by Western intelligence services, began in Rome. The echoes of the long ago shots in St. Peter's Square resounded with renewed vigour. The close attention of millions of people on all continents is riveted to the sports hall "Foro Italico", hastily converted into a strictly guarded reinforced concrete bunker, where the duel between truth and lies is taking place. Wide circles of the world public are sure that the "trial of the century" will end with the victory of truth - the acquittal and release of Sergei Antonov, slandered by the terrorist and liar Agja. The background and course of this process is described in a political report by Soviet international publicist Nikolai Paniev.
