The Beginning Arabic Course is intended for those who are beginning the practical study of the modern Arabic literary language, either in an educational institution or on their own. By the end of the course, the learner has mastered the basics of Arabic pronunciation, acquired the skills of reading and writing in the Arabic script, acquired an active vocabulary of several hundred words and a grammatical minimum that allows reading and translating simple texts and carrying on a conversation within the limits of the passed material.
