In 1969, UN Secretary General U. Thant presented a report on the consequences of the possible use of chemical and bacteriological weapons. As W. Tan stated, “the international community has not sufficiently recognized the dangers associated with this new type of weapons of mass murder”. The Report was prepared by prominent scientists from many countries and, in accordance with the decision of the UN General Assembly, is published in all member states of this Organization.
