Bernsky Diary of the Ambassador of Russia. 1992 - 1999

The book of a well-known diplomat and scientist Stepanov completes trilogy on the history of Russia's relations with the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein for several centuries.

The final part of this research, which has no analogues in Russian literature, is devoted to the period of radical change in the history of Russian-Swiss relations, the establishment and development of friendly partnership. The particular its value is in the fact that the author was not only a witness, but also an active participant in the immediate turning points of the time. Extensive material organically supplemented by archival documents in the book of his own recordings of conversations with politicians and diplomats, and personal observations. As a memoir book by Stepanov is especially remarkable because it reflects with diligence and completeness the daily work of the embassy, that is rare for this kind of literature.

Introduction to the book is written by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.
