Translation from English by “Golden Vulture”, translator Samuel Cherfas Lives of two very different people has intertwined: one was a restless hooligan, ringleader and adventurer Sean Burke from Irish Limerick and the other was British intelligence officer George Blake, who became one of the most successful Soviet spies due to his ideological considerations.

The book is based on documents, and its detailed story is not only about the daring escape from the British prison, but for the first and foremost, about difficult lives of both heroes. It is about the era and the circumstances that gave rise to their outstanding personalities, about their understanding careers and their life in the Soviet Union after the collapse of the famous scouts.

Sean Burke suffered a tragic death. George Blake recently celebrated his 91st year of birth in Moscow.
