This volume deals with some issues of private international law. The first four articles relate to the sphere of foreign trade turnover. These include works on the legal position of Soviet foreign trade associations, on foreign trade sale and purchase, and on international railroad transportation of goods. Here we also include the work on international maritime transportation, which explores the problems of general unification of maritime law. Next are the articles related to the problems associated with the rights of citizens (on marriage, family, adoption, inheritance). The article on enforcement of foreign court orders and court decisions (since in foreign trade turnover disputes on foreign trade transactions are considered by foreign trade arbitration) should also be included in this group. The work on public policy is general to all private international law and is placed at the end of the collection. There are still many underdeveloped problems in the field of private international law. Meanwhile, the issues of this branch of law are becoming more and more relevant due to the development of our foreign trade turnover and cultural ties with other countries. We hope that in a number of successive collections we will be able to fill, at least partially, the gaps in this branch of our jurisprudence.
